Description
A scientific project at national level, appeared in newspapers and news, the project was made for children with speech difficulties, uses artificial intelligence to do facial and speech recognition, to help the child to communicate.
According to the official site: "The SofiaFala Project is an assistive technology (capable of improving the quality of life of people with speech difficulties) that captures sounds and images produced during the speech-language pathology exercise, and then analyzes them, offering two types of answers about the user's performance: a playful-educational one, with guidelines for the patient and/or the person responsible for the training; the other, with metric and statistical data for the Speech-Language Pathologist to assess, monitor and guide the user's clinical evolution. Thus, the system must adapt to the characteristics of the user to better guide him in the process of speech evolution, that is, the system will have different behaviors with different users due to the uniqueness, difficulty and potential of each one, and its use must be indicated and accompanied by a clinical speech therapist to support the therapeutic intervention process."
